Shift Handover Record for Stable Production
Use a shift handover record to track machine status, mold program, production count, scrap, alarms, parameter changes, and unresolved support notes.
2026-07-12 - 5 min support note - Category: Operation Guides
Shift handover records help the next team understand whether production is stable or whether a problem is already developing. Without a handover record, repeated defects and alarms can look random even when they started earlier.
The goal is not paperwork for its own sake. The goal is to preserve useful production history.
What to Record
- Machine model and production line.
- Mold number, product, material, and controller program.
- Production count and rejected part count.
- Main defect types seen during the shift.
- Alarm codes or screenshots if alarms appeared.
- Any parameter changes, program changes, or maintenance actions.
- Insert loading, part removal, or operator workflow issues.
- Open questions for the next shift.
Useful Notes
Short notes are better than vague comments. Instead of writing “machine unstable”, record the symptom: cycle time varied, injection pressure fluctuated, table movement alarm appeared, or parts stuck during removal.
If the issue appeared after a material change, mold cleaning, program change, or operator change, record that timing.
When to Contact Deboge
Contact Deboge when the same issue appears across shifts, when alarm information repeats, or when production cannot return to stable condition. Send handover records together with photos, screenshots, and defect samples if available.
